One of this year’s most renowned horror films is a mockumentary by Ti West (“The House of the Devil”) that has made its rounds this year at the Venice Film Festival, TIFF and Fantastic Fest. Three filmmakers visit a family member, who has joined an independent cult ruled by a charismatic leader. Their request to document their visit is welcomed graciously by the members, until night falls on the clearing and suddenly life in the protected community is revealed to be much darker than anyone imagined.
The film will participate in the festival's international competition.
