Space entrepreneur and engineer, has an M.E. in systems engineering. Has worked in the space industry since 1995. Meidad was part of the operations crew of the first Israeli communication satellite, and was chief system engineer of several space projects. In 2010, Meidad established with his wife Maya (which is also a space engineer) a new space company named SPACECIALIST with a vision to promote a prosperous civilian space industry in Israel. Meidad had an active role in establishment of Elbit Space division, the first Israeli space startup and was chief engineer of the first Israeli Nanosatellite “Duchifat-1”.
