Greeting Machine // IDC

The greeting machine (GM) is a robotic object designed in an abstract form. It has two parts: an “island” and a “small ball”. Our vision is that the GM will be used in daily contexts, for example – on one’s office desk, at the entrance to one’s home etc. We aim to show that expressive gestures of an abstract object such as the GM can serve as a welcoming greeting device for people during their busy daily lives.
