Veronica Kedar

Veronica Kedar is an award winning writer & director. Her short film “Tail” won the promising director award at the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival at 2010 and a writing grant from Lars Von Trier’s “Zentropa”.

Kedar’s feature debut “Joe + Belle” played at numerous festivals and was nominated for Best Picture at the Israeli Academy Awards 2012. Kedar received an excellence award from the Israeli Ministry of Culture for her contribution to Independent filmmaking in Israel. The film was distributed in the US & Germany and online on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.

On 2013 Kedar directed her experimental film “Endtime”, which was shot on one night, improvised by the actors. The film was screened at Sitges.

Kedar’s recent film “Family” won first place at the Jerusalem International Film Lab and the Post Production prize at Haifa International Film Festival. The film is a German-Israeli co production. “Family” premiered at the Jerusalem Film Festival, winning the Best Score Award. European screenings include the Warsaw Film Festival and Talinn’s Black Nights Festival. “Family” was nominated for three Israeli Academy Awards.
